I am Monica Nogué,a famous cyclist from Banyoles, Catalonia. I am writing to you because I am planning to participate in a big cycling competition next year and I'm looking for a sponsor.

The competition will take place in May. 20000 spectators and teams from 23 different countries are going to be in this big event, and I think that it will be good publicity for your company.

Maria: Mònica, Mònica! Can you hear me? I need help!

I: Maria? Where are you? What’s happened?

Maria: I was entering in a cave with my boat when I hit with a rock. The rock made a big hole in my boat!

I: Are you OK? Can you row to the coast?

Maria: No, I’ve injured my arm and I can’t row. I think I’ve broken my leg too. I can’t move! What I’m going to do?

I: OK, keep calm and don’t panic! I’m going to phone the coastguard.

Laura: OK, but hurry up! I don’t know how long I can stand here.

I: OK, OK, hang on! I’m sure that someone will come soon.

Laura: Mònica!

I: Now what’s happening?

Laura: My boat is sinking! Help!

Joaquin Cortés
Write a biography of Joaquín Cortés.

Summary of life.
Joaquín Cortes is a Spanish dancer. He was born in Cordoba in 1969 and he grew up there. In 1981, he moved to Madrid, tha capital of Spain, and New York, in 1999.

Joaquín Cortes started to dance when he was 12 years old and he started to studing Spanish national ballet when he was 15 years old.

He worked in three famous shows: Pasión Gitana, Soul and Live. Some interesting characteristics of him are being explosive, very original and an athletic man.

B-THINK AND PLAN.
1-When were you and when did the rescue happen?
I aws in Barcelona at July, when a car rammed a woman and a child and they were under the car and they couldn't scape.

2-What were you doing when the rescue happened?
I was buying in a supermarket with my cousins Julia and Biel

3-What happened to the person on the streatcher?
The fierman's came with a breakdown truck and they took the car up

4-How did the rescuers know about this situation?
Because as soon as saw it I called them and they came very fast.

5-Why was the situation dangerous?
Because the car could kill the woman and the child.

6-How did the situation end?
The fiermans took the  car and an ambulance carry the woman and the child do the hospiatl. The woman died and the child survived.

Writing- write about your ideal home.

The writing.

My ideal house is a big house in the city centre, because I like that there are people around my house. It has forty rooms, five of these are toilets, and there's a very big swimming pool in the big garden with green grass.

At the moment, my mum is in the kitchen doing a really good dinner, I'm hungry now!. My father is cleaning the garden. He's cutting the grass. And my brother is doing his maths homework in his room.

My room is my favourite room in the house because it is very big with a very comfortable bed and two computers. It has a big TV too. my friends sometimes come to my house for watching films in it, and a lot of photos on the walls such as I and my friends in Portaventura, we went there last year, we spend three fantastic days!

I'm really into listening to music, meeting my friends, and dancing, specially ballet. I like sleeping too. I'm also a big fan of reading magazines! I don't like doing homework or studying but I must do it, and playing football, I like watching to the TV, but I don't like playing.


My time and money:
I spend my time being with my friends every weekend or chatting ont he internet, on facebook. I spend my money buying  clothes, on jewellery and sweets, we often buy it at the weekends.
